Courses & Curriculum Prepare for the real world with on-campus politics and global affairs courses
Designed to provide a well-rounded education, the curriculum includes major courses in political science, sociology, statistics and geography, alongside electives in American politics and government, global governance, international justice and sustainable development. You'll learn to analyze political issues from multiple perspectives, critique global problems and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions. During your senior year, the capstone colloquium allows you to apply these skills through a research project that includes hands-on and community-based learning outside the classroom.

As a new faculty member, Chantal Krcmar brings with her a wealth of research and teaching experience. Prior to SNHU, her in-depth fieldwork included studies of construction sites, day labor stands, slums and nongovernmental organizations in India. Her research focused on understanding the global informal economy's impact on a person's security and well-being. As an instructor and club advisor, she uses her energy and openness to work with students and explore the world from our campus in New Hampshire.

Before joining SNHU, Dr. Paul Barresi advised Fortune 500 companies on environmental compliance for one of New England's top law firms. He is an adjunct professor at Sun Yat-sen University School of Law in Guangzhou, China, and serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals. He authored or co-authored chapters in several books and has articles published in an array of academic journals and law reviews. Barresi was nominated twice for SNHU's Excellence in Teaching award and served as president of the Faculty Senate.
